It’s time to look back over the past seven days which, much to our sadness, saw the passing of one of advertising’s greatest ever figures.
From legends to launches, character limits to creative campaigns, it’s the week that was at S3 Advertising!
#1 – Jean-Claude Decaux (15 September, 1937 – May 27, 2016)
One of the advertising industry’s most inventive and inspirational figures, Decaux’s legacy will be everlasting in the outdoor ads we see every day of our lives (such as S3’s latest work for Mr. Tom, above). If Ogilvy was ‘The Father of Advertising’, then Decaux was without doubt the stepfather.

#3 – Surprising Our Client, The Smoke Haus
… with the biggest and best cake to help them celebrate the launch of their new Birmingham restaurant! If you’ve been lucky enough to receive an invite, we’ll see you there.

#5 – And Finally, This Good News From Twitter!
It’s the news we’ve all been waiting for: images, polls and user names won’t count as part of Twitter’s 140-charcater limit. Praise the Lord!
