We are absolutely delighted to announce local children’s hospital charity, Noah’s Ark, as our chosen charity partner for 2018.
Working hand in hand with the NHS, the charity is responsible for raising money to help provide world class equipment, facilities and services for children and their families at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales.
With a £3,000 target for the year, we will be hosting a range of fundraising events as an agency, from themed lunches to sweepstakes, bake sales to birthday bashes.
The money raised will go towards funding the small features that make a big difference within the hospital, such as a Spotify music account for its hydrotherapy pool and incubator pump stacks.
Speaking of the charity, S3’s CEO, Matt Jones, said: “As a parent, the thought of children suffering in any way is truly heartbreaking, even more so as a result of illness. The work Noah’s Ark do as a charity and hospital is truly life-changing for both children and their families, which is why I feel so passionately about having them as our official charity partner.”
With over 81p of every pound raised going directly to the hospital, the charity has already raised more than £20 million to build and equip a world-class facility. And, on the importance of partnerships with organisations such as S3, the charity’s Communications Manager, Bethan Simmonds, said:
“We’re really excited to be welcoming S3 as the latest addition to our Noah’s Ark family. As a charity based in Cardiff, we’re proud to be associated with one of the city’s rising stars.
“We’re looking forward to working alongside the team, as they turn their passion and creativity towards supporting the thousands of children who are treated at the Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales each year.
“As a charity, we support the amazing care provided at the children’s hospital in many different ways, from raising money for cutting edge medical equipment to funding the play specialist team.
“But we never forget that it’s sometimes the smaller things that can help a child and their family through a difficult day. We’re grateful that S3 are helping to ensure that we can continue to do those things.”
Our fundraising efforts started with an equality themed lunch on Friday, February 2nd, as well as a sweepstake kicking-off for The 6 Nations Championship. For more information and to donate to this great cause, visit our JustGiving page.
