S3 Advertising has an annual unpaid internship schedule in place which allows interns to experience their preferred areas of the agency over a two week period.

As a trainee / intern for S3, the student will be a crucial member of the team and will embody all of our key values: bold, professional, intelligent and ambitious in everything the student will do during his/her time here at S3.
Our placements are unpaid and cover short term periods, with tailored phases of training and specific objectives. We provide bespoke training plans and objectives relevant to each student’s course and career ambitions.

From video production, photography and social media to digital advertising, creative, public relations, and media buying and planning, our team members are all experts in their respective fields so students will benefit from a highly skilled mentor to help them work towards his goals.

Complete the form, attach your CV and portfolio, and submit a video link (YouTube, Vimeo…) to validate the application. In order to be shortlisted for interview, all applicants need to record a video explaining why they should be chosen.

S3’s HR Manager will log and save all applications.

S3’s HR Manager, will review the applications and select the most appropriate for interview (see schedule for interview sessions).

Dependant on the number of applications there may be a necessity to be added to a “waiting list”.
If you are selected, our HR Manager will invite you for the internship programme by e-mail and will confirm the dates and service.

Please note that we will only have one intern per service at any one time. So it is imperative that you specify which service on your application form.

THE INTERNAL PROCESS

Following the application process
If you are successful in securing an internship with the agency you will be sent confirmation of the start and end dates of your internship along with the service in which you will be undertaking your internship.

On starting
At the start of your internship you will be taken through an internship pack. The induction will be issued with a training plan which will outline what you will experience during your time at the agency.

Opportunities
During your internship you will have the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of your preferred service, gain an insight into what it is like working within an advertising agency and how you have to manage a project from start to finish. During your time at S3 you will also learn the S3 values and experience the culture of the company. You will be able to participate in kick-off meetings, briefing and brainstorming meetings. These will help you to understand how an agency is structured and works together.
You will also benefit from a Q&A session where you will be able to discuss, with members of the team, their work, their career path and background but also ask for advice. As a creative, PR or copywriter feel free to bring in your portfolio for you to benefit from our experts’ feedback and advice.

Completion of the internship
On completion of your internship you will be asked to complete an evaluation. The evaluation form will consist of a reflection exercise for you to reflect on your time at the agency and to detail what you have learnt, what has been your most valuable experience and what knowledge, skills and/or experience you would like to learn and develop in the future. We want your time spent at the agency to be a valuable experience, therefore you will also have the opportunity to provide feedback to us with the aim of continuous improvement.
An evaluation of your time with the agency, detailing what areas of the business you experienced and what tasks, duties and training you undertook will be provided to you by the HR Manager.
