Six years ago today, I had two things: £75 to my name and, more importantly, a vision. A vision to create a national advertising agency in Wales, built on creativity, transparency and boldness.
And, 2190 days, a truckload of persistence and heaven-knows-how-many cups of coffee later, I’d like to think I’ve done a pretty good job of fulfilling that vision. Has it been tough? Of course. Would I have done anything differently? Probably.
But has it been worth it? Absolutely.
One of the main reasons all the hard work has been worth it (and one thing I wouldn’t have done differently), is the culture I’ve created here at S3. In exactly the same manner as client satisfaction, I’ve made it my mission to ensure that nothing has ever interfered with creating a workplace and company culture that attracts great talent.
Why? Because, if you hire brilliant people, they will make work feel like play; and that notion of play is more important within the creative industry than any other. Don’t believe me? Then the following video should persuade you otherwise.
And, if that video is an ode to my amazing staff – S3’s bloodline – then I’d like to say an equally big ‘thank you’ to our incredible clients, who are the heart of the agency. Without your belief in and dedication to this agency over the years, I wouldn’t even be here writing this blog piece. Diolch yn fawr i chi gyd.
So what do the next six years hold for S3 Advertising? Well, we haven’t gotten where we are today by revealing our secrets, so you’ll just have to wait and see. Rest assured, however, that the best is yet to come…
