As a CEO and an agency as a whole, we’re really not ones to blow our own trumpet. But to say we’ve hit the ground running during our first month at S3’s London office, would be an understatement.
Where to start? Well, at the beginning seems like a better place than any. After months of planning and years of hard work establishing S3’s presence in Cardiff, Monday, April 3rd finally saw my vision to open a London office realised.

Seeing our latest bus campaign plastered across The Big Smoke on that same day, only heightened the occasion and my sense of pride. But that first Monday certainly wasn’t the time for reflection or back patting; from the get-go, this bold expansion needed to be about getting down to business.
Yes, we’ve been voted Advertising Agency of the Year 2016. But in the lion-eat-lion world of London advertising, resting on our laurels and riding the crest of that wave simply won’t cut it, let alone help us reclaim that esteemed title.

In order to mirror our Welsh success, we need to establish the same presence in London by forging relationships and creating new business. And, after countless hours making phone calls, that’s exactly what we’ve done over the past 30 days.
Indeed, having set up meetings with three national brands in the space of just a month, it already feels as though we’re well and truly in the thick of it. Likewise, using London as a base to successfully negotiate national deals with various media owners, has only further strengthened our hand.

And just to add icing to the cake, there was the small matter of this year’s RAR Awards to attend. Held at the ever-awesome London Marriott in Grosvenor Square, we were over the moon to be voted UK Media Buying Agency of the Year. Let’s just say a few bottles of champagne and wine were enjoyed that night, shall we?
But, when all is said and done and the work in London is finished for the week, there’s nothing quite like pulling back into Central Station, the sun setting over our majestic city.
After all, home is where the heart is and, despite my worldwide vision for this agency, S3’s will always be in Cardiff.
