S3 Help National Trust Wales Run Free
Founded in 1895, British charity, National Trust has always prioritised the importance of safeguarding our proud nation’s heritage and wide open space, ensuring it’s properly preserved for all to enjoy.
More than 120 years later, these values are still at the heart of everything they set out to achieve. And, being a proud, Welsh agency ourselves, we were delighted when they asked us to help promote cultural areas and heritage within Wales.
The Trust came to us in search of a creative response that would help promote outdoor play and inspire more urban-living, specifically affluent family visits to Tredegar House and Dyffryn Gardens: two locations truly shaped by the local communities surrounding them and their carefully looked after, picturesque gardens.
Embracing the importance of children interacting with Welsh heritage sites and enjoying the outdoors, our campaign focused on encouraging natural, outdoor adventure during the months of June, July and August within the chosen location grounds.
Featuring vibrant, exciting visuals of young children playing in these gardens accompanied by compassionate, well positioned copy meant we were able to captivate the hearts of families and actively persuade them to enjoy free days out at the selected National Trust sites.
Our campaign featured on 48 sheets, 6 sheets, bus vinyls and digital spaces across the lively centre of Cardiff over a six week period. Media was carefully sourced and organised to ensure the desired demographic would be engrossed in the creative and take action accordingly.
With over 110,000 large, optimised digital adverts deployed, accompanied by 16 pieces of out of home media, we successfully helped families run free. Breaking out of their comfort zones to enjoy more of our beautiful country’s great outdoors, together.
