We at S3 Advertising are delighted to have been crowned winners at the sixth annual Cardiff Business Awards!
Now in their sixth year, the awards recognise companies and individuals who have enjoyed impressive success over the last year and have made an outstanding contribution both to their respective sectors and to the wider Cardiff economy itself.
The virtual ceremony, which was held on Friday 13th November (not unlucky for us), celebrated the best in Cardiff and the potential that exists within the Welsh capital.
Well, what a way to start the weekend!
“After taking over the business in 2019, this certainly wasn’t the first year we envisaged,” says Managing Partner and HR & Operations Director, Mel Matthews.
“You can’t be an ‘employer’ without employees, and whilst S3 is owned by four managing partners, the agency is very much run by 38 extremely talented team members.
“Every one of their opinions counts in assisting us to drive the business forward and champion the creative industry around us.”
The main sponsor for the awards is Cardiff Council – and Leader, Councillor, Huw Thomas, says, “While this year’s awards have taken place in a very difficult environment for business, we have been delighted with the range and quality of the applications.
“As a Council, we look forward to working with all the businesses and helping them to grow and prosper in our capital city.”
Liz Brookes co-founder of the awards and director of Grapevine Event Management said: “Although we couldn’t get to celebrate in person with everyone I am so pleased we were still able to recognise the amazing depth of talent that Cardiff has.
“Even in a pandemic we had a record number of entries and it was humbling to hear from so many amazing companies who are achieving great things despite tough times and I congratulate all of them on their achievements”.
Mel concludes, “The last year has seen us at S3 collaborate with some exciting clients whilst also working tirelessly on our own vision and branding.
“As an advertising and creative agency, we are now prepared to show nationally how we can bite big!”
