As part of our ongoing hunt for the industry’s freshest new talent, we are delighted to announce the addition of two graduates to our award-winning creative department.
Having blown us away during their time on the agency’s internship scheme, The S3 Academy, we jumped at the chance of giving full-time positions to Sarah Molyneux (Junior Designer) and David Warfield (Junior Creative Copywriter).
With an eye for modern, attention-grabbing design, Sarah honed her creative skills at Cardiff Metropolitan University, studying Graphic Communication BA (Hons). Working under the tutelage of Senior Designer, Tom Wilding, and Conceptual Designer, Leanne Bisby, Sarah will be responsible for providing design support on a variety of client projects.
On her first job within the advertising industry, Sarah said: “Following the two weeks in The Lion’s Den for my internship, I really didn’t want to leave – thankfully, being offered a full-time job means that I don’t have to! The atmosphere within the office is electric; I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to join Team S3 and I’m very excited for what’s to come.”
S3’s CEO, Matt Jones, added: “It wasn’t just Sarah’s design talent that impressed me. The fact that she was prepared, confident, and articulate in a pitch situation showed her ability as a great all-rounder – which is exactly what I look for when hiring new members of staff.”
Having studied Creative Advertising BA (Hons) at Falmouth University, David initially caught our attention when he came in for a book crit; the quality of ideas and execution clearly outlining his ability to think differently. “From the moment I walked into The Lion’s Den, I could tell everybody wanted to be here and really loved what they do,” he said.
“As far as my dream first job was concerned, S3 were my top choice because, as an agency, they’re never afraid to do things differently, constantly proving that creativity doesn’t just live in London. Being given a full-time job in an agency at the top of their game has already massively improved my confidence, which is why a job here means everything, quite frankly.”
Of the agency’s latest Creative Copywriter, our Creative Director, Jamie Hibbard, noted: “When David continued to shine during his internship, we knew we had to snap him up before another agency did! He brings a younger, fresher perspective to the creative process, one we know is going to help us win more business going forward as an agency.”
Following the news of three new staff members last week, the addition of Sarah and David means we’ve employed a total of 11 people in 2018 alone – a clear signal of our intent to expand S3’s offering as an integrated advertising agency.
