#1 – Netflix
@monkssm Sometimes, you’ve just gotta get that binge out of your system.
— Netflix UK & Ireland (@NetflixUK) April 10, 2017
Just like your mum knows what you’ll want for breakfast and how to make your cuppa, Netflix understands how us bingers work i.e our needy habits and stages of bingeing. Always quick to reply (top social brownie points), Netflix ensures they respond with something witty and relatable, whatever the user is watching. They offer daily comfort, reassuring us that sitting in bed watching back-to-back episodes until 3:00am (or Just One More Episode syndrome, as I call it) is totally fine. Which is why they’ll always have a special place in my social-shaped heart.
#2 – Gypsea Lust
As though her life is one big film set, Lauren (aka Gypsea Lust) captures the most amazing surroundings in the kind lighting that gets us fangirls – of which there are currently 1.6m on her Insta – swooning. Waterfalls, tanned skin and multiple shades of blue – following Lauren through her camera lens on her journey around the world will definitely leave you feeling wanderlust and asking: “How the hell did she capture that?”
#3 – Spectrum Collections
Countdown to midnight is on babes, our 20% BIRTHDAY code ends midnight GMT ✨ time to treatyoself pic.twitter.com/GnRT8PvjjH
— Spectrum Collections (@Spectrumbrushes) May 1, 2017
It’s 2017 and every twenty-something female is obsessed with mermaids, glitter and unicorns… and it’s definitely down to our kick-ass client, brush baes and social starlets, Spectrum Collections. Your online ‘merbabe’ bestie, they’re totally down with their entire audience. From the importance of make-up brushes matching your nail colour, to pink-on-pink snaps and marble print obsession; it’s safe to say you won’t find anyone more on-trend when it comes to nailing those #GirlBoss vibes.
#4 – The Avocado Show
If you’re scrolling through your Instagram feed from 8-11am, you’re pretty much bound to see some sort of avocado brekkie. The avo internet obsession has now moved to the streets, in the form of the most Instagrammable account I know, The Avocado Show. A word of warning, however: you may find yourself liking every green flat lay, especially the floral decorative avo burgers and dreamy acai bowls. Who would have thought a bowl of green could look so yum.
#5 – Innocent Smoothies
Quite surprised people aren’t using #ʎɐpɐᴉlɐɹʇsnɐ today. If you can’t use an upside down hashtag on Australia Day, when can you?
— innocent drinks (@innocent) January 26, 2016
When it comes to nailing British humour with totes relatable anecdotes, nobody does it quite like Innocent. Using real-time marketing opportunities, they go above and beyond just advertising their fruit smoothies. Take the recent #AustraliaDay for example, when they turned their entire feed completely upside down, not forgetting the time they replied to individual tweets with hand-drawn messages. Keep being you, Innocent!
