We make no bones about the fact that we love a Throwback Thursday and, that said, we’re using today to throw it back to 2015, when we launched a full-service campaign for peanut bar brand, Mr. Tom.
Using our credentials as a 360° agency, we were able to tick every box for the Hosta Meltis-owned brand: from planning a heavy-weighted, eight-month outdoor campaign to creating a new website; managing the brand’s social media channels to creating a bold and unforgettable experiential event.
With the flamboyant and nutty artist, Salvador Dali, portraying Mr. Tom for the brand’s creative, we were able to create a truly distinctive identity, culminating in the takeover of a 40-metre-long digital screen at Waterloo Station.
The results were equally as nuts as the creative, with the campaign enjoying 9 billion media impacts, 20,000 free bars given away and 40,000 Twitter engagements.
And, proving the legendary Leo Burnett’s saying that good advertising doesn’t just circulate information, rather ‘it penetrates the public mind with desires and belief’, we helped the brand increase sales 14% on the previous year, resulting in an extra 1.129 million bars being sold.
So, if you’re an FMCG brand (or any kind of brand) looking to make the same sort of impact as Mr. Tom, email or ring us on 02920 373321 immediately. We can’t wait to get started on your brief…
